Who we are

J.R. Jewelers is a second-generation, family-owned business operating in the Fort Lauderdale area for nearly thirty-five years. Co-owners and spouses, Josephine and Robert J. Mushro, have merged their collective talents and experience. What originally had started out as a business for buying and selling pre-owned estate jewelry with the help of our parents, has evolved into a multi-faceted operation with a large selection of new merchandise, original custom designs, repairs, and appraisals. Our love for jewelry design has fostered a reputation for being a store with unusual, exquisitely-crafted, fine jewelry, not typically seen in many competitors' stores. By attending many major trade shows, we are able to import directly from a wide network of international suppliers.

We carry an extensive collection of engagement, bridal and anniversary rings in platinum, 18 Kt, and 14 Kt gold. We are still actively involved in buying and selling diamonds and fine jewelry. We have both received diplomas for completing courses offered by the Gemological Institute of America, are considered experts in the field of diamonds and other gems, and we strictly adhere to their principals of grading gemstones. We offer an inventory that conforms to the highest quality standards as fine jewelry. We believe that our integrity, as well as our concern over customer service, are key reasons for the success of our business.

We are a real brick-and-mortar jewelry store, complete with regular business hours and telephones, where you can actually talk to a real person. Usually, either of us is readily available, or you can speak to any of our friendly and knowledgeable staff.
